https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=285055#c11 --- Comment #11 from Richard Creighton <rccj@ricreig.com> 2007-06-26 07:46:51 MST --- Created an attachment (id=148339) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=148339) hwinfo (times 3) showing the ASUS system under 10.2 Further testing shows this error will show up using xmms or amarock as well. I have also attempted to install the latest 10.2 patches from Nvidia via the rpm mirror from opensuse. If anything, the 'whistle' is much worse. There appears to be an interaction between KMIX and any other volume adjustment. If I remove KMIX, I can change volume using Amarock, but xmms still causes the silence, resettable only by forcing an error by adding a non-existant card and attempting to initialize it, then aborting after the error is reported. Then the sound returns....either that or rebooting. A simple logout or restart of the sound engine does not work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
