--- Comment #17 from Isaac Weksler 2007-08-04 15:13:35 MST ---
Solution:
Change in the file:///etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules
in line:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device", ACTION=="add", PROGRAM="/bin/sh -c 'K=%k;
K=$${K#usbdev}; printf bus/usb/%%03i/%%03i $${K%%%%.*} $${K#*.}'", NAME="%c",
MODE="0644"
to
SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device", ACTION=="add", PROGRAM="/bin/sh -c 'K=%k;
K=$${K#usbdev}; printf bus/usb/%%03i/%%03i $${K%%%%.*} $${K#*.}'", NAME="%c",
MODE="0666"
Then the usb camera in /dev/bus/usb will create a file like 001/015 with rw
permissions for everybody. Then it is possible to connect to the camera from
gphoto2, digikam and, probably, other applications.
Enjoy
Isaac
