Marius Tomaschewski
The 3.4.5 update for openSUSE 12.3 and 13.1 went out with system(). I don't think, that this problem alone would warrant a new update.
Well, IMO we need, but this is IMO a question for maintenance whether to update and where. Maintenance, do we provide an update? [systemd related / 12.x only]
@Marius: if we ever need another 3.4 update (I don't expect it), should the move to system() included?
Cool would be with a migration of the config when possible... In the past there was a syslog-ng-3.3.4-sd-sock-name.patch addressing it [adopting /dev/log to /run/systemd/journal/syslog under systemd at runtime], but it has beeb´n removed...: $OBS/Base:System/syslog-ng $ osc diff -r60:61.
Or implement this change only in 3.5 packages, due to arrive to Base:System / Factory early next week.
Base:System / Factory can be bumped to 3.5 with new config using system(). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
