Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was a bug in coreutils. (I don't understand
how you came to that conclusion, are the coreutils rpm and the Base:System
project synonymous or related in a way I don't know, or did some bug
reassigning happen that I couldn't see?)
It looks like a bug in systemd to me, see comment #5 above and bug
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=769531#c21
The patch for this here bug (#752424, comment 5 is AFAICT referring to the
patch
https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?expand=1&file=logind-logout.patch&package=systemd&project=openSUSE%3A12.2%3AUpdate
) caused #769531 and hence the patch for this here bug was not included into
12.2
(https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?expand=1&file=systemd.spec&package=systemd&project=openSUSE%3A12.2%3AUpdate
line 169), so I assume that is the cause this problem is appearing again.
(But the problem -- every su invocation is taking a long time and displaying "
...killed." afterwards -- is only appearing on DUPed systems, not on fresh 12.2
installations. I've compared the su binary md5sums and PAM configs of both
kinds and have found no differences; the root cause seems to be in systemd, at
least this is my uninformed interpretation.)
RE: The missing details, my colleague who did the dup today did not send me the
data yet, I'll post it when I receive it. Is there anything else I can do on an
already-duped machine to help pinpoint the exact problem?
