I don't mean to insist on this because it really is a very minor issue.
However, it does persist in 12.1.
Steps to reproduce:
1. symlink the desktop directory to someplace else (as above)
2. create a blank text file 'hello.txt' in the Folder View widget
3. open Dolphin and delete this file
Outcome:
The file remains visible on the Folder View widget. It can be opened with Kate
(which correctly loads a new blank text file, as it should when calling 'kate
filename' for any nonexistent file). Right-click and 'Properties' gives
information on the deleted file. Immediately after closing the 'Properties'
window, the file disappears from Folder View.
