https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=393928 Summary: Installing root system on iscsi disk makes the system useless Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 3plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: aschnell@novell.com ReportedBy: locilka@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: coolo@novell.com, kmachalkova@novell.com, juhliarik@novell.com Found By: --- I've tested the "/" on iSCSI-disk which ended up with GRUB Error 21. It's because "/boot" must be visible from BIOS. At least a warning that "/boot" should be on a local disk should be reported to user. Only expert users will use iSCSI so I don't think we need to translate these strings now (no strict rule). Juhliarik: Bootloader should print warning too (if possible, at least for 11.1). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
