Surprise! It worked. /dev/sda remained /dev/sda and the two manually mounted
partitions (non encripted) remained mounted and accessible. I wrote a file to
it.

I had a hunch, and I did a second test. Due to Bug 485014, machine does not
power off at the end of the hibernate sequence, I had to hit the reset button.
So I did one more round using the power-off button instead, and this time with
one encrypted partition manually mounted. It survived, but an "ls" of it took a
minute or two to respond. During this time I tried to mount another partition
and it took some time (less than a minute).
