Fine, creating text entries and combo-boxes without label is a bad UI design.
But even if it would be, a developer might sometimes have a good reason to do
it that way. Then he gets (in case of the dialog in comment #0) the nearby push
button aligned in one line with text-entry in Qt, and in one line with
(non-existent) text-entry label in ncurses.
So if he wants to achieve the same widget layout across all UIs, he needs to
come up with 'if (textmode) do_something; else do_something_else' - different
layout for GUI and for text-mode. That is even worse UI design and it denies
the idea of common layout for all UIs
All I was asking for was something like
if label.empty()
{
label.hide()
}
which, glancing quickly through the code, is what YQWidgetCaption class
implements (but in much more elaborate way). Please consider implementing it,
for the sake of compatibility.
