Do you have URL of the one causing the hang? Can you post the content of about:plugins in Firefox (the java plugin part is enough), rpm -q java-1_6_0-sun-plugin and /usr/sbin/update-alternatives --display javaplugin. The last useful thing should be run firefox -g from command line and post me the output.
