Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- DVD upgrade fails to activate wireless network. I attempted to upgrade my 11.2 to 11.4, via DVD-boot-upgrade. I edited some external repos, which requires network connection. YaST detected both Wi-Fi and ethernet hardware, and proceeded to activate wifi via dhcp. The light of the device went blue, which meant working: but it requested a dhcp lease without even asking me which of the wireless networks available in the neighborhood is mine, and what password does it have (an information it could get from the hard disk). It failed, obviously. I connected then the cable, but it failed to try it. I had to reboot and try again, this time with the cable connected. It worked instantly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
