https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=682921 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=682921#c0 Summary: mailman violates FHS: config file /usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: jmatejek@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- Mailman uses /usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py as config file. Needless to say that config files should be somewhere in /etc, not in /usr. Options are: a) replace mm_cfg.py with a symlink to /etc/ b) add a line that includes a config file from /etc/ c) maybe something I can't think of ;-) Whatever you do: please keep backwards compatibility for people upgrading from a previous mailman/openSUSE version in mind. Ideally, their mm_cfg.py settings should be migrated to the new location. Maybe this is something for an upstream discussion, so that there is one solution for everybody instead of a per-distribution solution. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
