I have half of the same problem. in my case, it causes no other problems
than it is confusing: in two places during boot, it shows the version 12.3
rather than 13.1.
It does seem that my configuration is slightly different from Jon's.
I have a very simple system. it is an 8 core amd x86-64 and it has 4
partitions on 2 disks. On the first disk is /, swap and /large and the second
disk is a solid state disk with /home. I believe that the key differences
from jon's are that i have no raid disks and i do not have a separate /boot
partition.
My guess is that Jon is really reporting two bugs. One is that the screens
did not properly get updated and the other is that his raid disk was not
properly handled.
I reproduced the first bug on my system by simply doing the upgrade. It is
always reproducible in the sense that every time i reboot, the wrong info is
displayed. However, i only have one opensuse box and so i only did one
upgrade and so i cannot say if this happens every time you do an upgrade.
For the part that i am reporting, the priority should be low. this is just an
annoyance. The fact that it did not do Jon's raid properly is much more of an
issue.
