Okay, I've tried to reproduce this.
I've set up a machine with a Radeon Tonga PRO [Radeon R9 285/380] [1002:6939],
which has 4 outputs, all connected:
- DisplayPort
- HDMI
- DVI-D
- VGA via DVI-I
I've disabled the DP screen, and afterwards all three other screens were still
functional.
In your case, the setup seems to be different:
- eDP (connected - the internal display)
- DisplayPort-0 (unconnected)
- DisplayPort-1 (connected)
- DisplayPort-2 (connected)
- DisplayPort-3 (connected)
where DP-1..3 are the DVI/VGA screens, connected via adapters that are probably
part of the docking station. Who knows, maybe even via DP MST.
Unfortunately we don't have the hardware to test this, sorry :(
So I'm afraid you'll have to ask upstream, as suggested.
RESOLVED UPSTREAM, sorry :(
