And one general remark - putting load on Dom0 (beyond that resulting from
servicing guests) is conceptually a bad idea, as the purpose of Dom0 is exactly
to service guests and perform management tasks. Hence I'm lowering the
priority. The situation would be different if the same issue happened with
multiple guests starving each other.
Nevertheless I ran comparable workloads (kernel compile in Dom0 and DomU each
fully saturating the CPUs, i.e. 200% overall load) without seeing similar
effects. Hence there must be more to this than the bare workload. Are you
actually putting any load on the DomU in question?
