This mainly just confirms that a) performance with defaults is very bad, quite unusable, b) performance with known tweaks is better, but still far worse than it should be.
It supports, but I wouldn't say it confirms much After all, what versions of what packages are being really tested there? Is Ubuntu GNOME using identical binaries to openSUSE GNOME? If no, then those changes could be part of the factor Does Ubuntu GNOME have additional patches, or less patches than oepnSUSE GNOME?
