https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=823792 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=823792#c0 Summary: libxml2-2.7.8 memory leak problem Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alin.popa@wenglor.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=543223) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=543223) valkyrie report User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1453.110 Safari/537.36 I've ran the tree1 binary (from doc/examples folder) together with valgrind and discover the leaked bytes. After some investigation I discover that lzma support include it. So if I configure the library without having lzma support that the memory leak vanish. What I know also because I've tested, is that in openSuse 12.3 the library version of libxml2 is 2.9.0 and the memory leak does not occur. So my wish, if it's possible, please, is to have a libxml2 library update in openSuse 12.2 without having memory leaks. In our company for the moment we use this version of OS and for the moment is not a priority to upgrade the system. Thank you, Alin Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a system openSuse 12.2 with libxml2 on board 2. Use the binary example "tree1" from "doc/examples" in valkyrie or valgrind 3. Then you will discover the memory leak -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
