https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331574 Summary: installation steps: first manual, then automatic Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- In other words, put all steps that require user attention (agreement with something, package selection) as soon as possible, then leave all automatic stuff (downloading packages). Now it is a bit awkward -- I set up network during installation to get an access to repos, network works fine, everything was downloaded, and then I have to check network again (sic!) just to get latest notes. Why not use it network when it was set up already? I would really opt, for such flow, so once I see installer started downloading, I could turn off monitor, get some tea, watch movie and just wait for nice sound when everything is installed, set up and computer is ready to boot with new opensuse 10.3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
