https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=778715 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=778715#c0 Summary: Nothing executes /etc/init.d/after.local Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@suse.com ReportedBy: Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 I am aware that the concept of "after" has no meaning with systemd; however, experienced users are familiar with adding those final cleanup commands in /etc/init.d/after.local. The problem is that these scripts are not executed with systemd as the startup method. Users need an equivalent place to put their commands, or a workaround. A search of the Forums with "after.local 12.2" as the search string yields 8 pages of results - this is not an isolated problem. It is likely that many of them could be solved in other ways; however, the users need something. James McDaniel, one of the moderators, has created a script and the necessary system command to make after.local be run. The link is http://tinyurl.com/6r8hxpd.
