https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=309022 Summary: Kernel-source compiling Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: marrob@people.it QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Field Engineer Update: kernel-source 2.6.16.53-0.8 Error: init/main.c:81:2: error: #error gcc-4.1.0 is known to miscompile the kernel. A different compiler version is recommended. Well kernel-source has been updated but not gcc. But i can't download compiled kernel rpm package. So I suppose updates are compiled with different version of gcc, a not ufficial 10.1's one. Isn't this a strange way to mantain a distro repository ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
