The sound driver has quite little change for your device. Make sure that you
unmuted Master and PCM volumes. If you have "Line Jack Sense" and/or "HP Jack
Sense" mixer switches, turn them OFF. These are harmful for Thinkpad.
Also, make sure that you adjust the hardware volume on your laptop (the
mute/up/down buttons) properly. These work independently from the sound
driver.
