https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447894 Summary: Packages file missing i386 arch entries for osc and lzma tools Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: i386 URL: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tool s/xUbuntu_8.04/ OS/Version: Ubuntu Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: shane.bryan@intel.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: Community User As an Ubuntu user that is running osc for local commandline OBS build interactions, I saw that it was possible to configure an apt sources.list entry that would allow me to fetch/install/update the build, lzma and osc package from the public repos at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/xUbuntu_8.04/ Adding the following line in my /etc/apt/source.list file allows me to access the build package, since it is listed in the Packages file for "all" archs: deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/xUbuntu_8.04/ ./ Unfortunately, I can not access the i386 versions of lzma or osc since the Packages file (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/xUbuntu_8.04/Packa...) only contains references to the amd64 arch versions of these packages. I know that the i386 versions (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/xUbuntu_8.04/i386/) work on my system since I have manually installed and verified them. The fix is to simply add the needed entries to the Packages file for the i386 versions of osc and lzma. BTW, this seems to be true for all the xUbuntu_X.XX repo directories Shane... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
