http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596740 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=596740#c0 Summary: With nouveau and GF6100, X looses mouse pointer and exhibits some slight desktop defects after switching display resolution back and forth several times. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: zhubr@mail.ru QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 With nouveau and GF6100, X looses mouse pointer and exhibits some slight desktop corruption after switching display resolution back and forth several times (I did this through KDE confgurator). After that, logging out does not help, killing Xorg does not help (still no mouse cursor), init 2/init 5 results in X not being able to show up anymore until full reboot. Initially (just after boot) the mouse pointer is OK and desktop is OK too. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot KDE x86_64 live CD using GF6100 or maybe some similar videocard. 2. Go to display resolution changer and select some lower res, then some higher res again, repeat this several times. 3. Actual Results: X mouse cursor got totally invisible (though I can see reaction on mouse clicks and movements), also there seemed to be some slight garbaged areas on the desktop. Expected Results: Normal X desktop appearance with mouse cursor visible. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
