User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.31 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/26.0.1410.63 Safari/537.31 Upower detects battery and gives information about it only if I executed Powertop before. Otherwise Upower acts like if there is not any battery. Note: Powertop should run for a couple of seconds, otherwise it will not make any sense. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run upower -d command first, it can be seen that there is no battery. 2. Run Powertop in interactive mode, press r a few times to refresh. 3. Run upower -d command again, the actual battery info can be seen. Actual Results: First, upower says that there is no battery, after performing the steps, the actual battery info can be seen. Expected Results: Upower should detect the battery properly without performing the steps above. The bug is present on a Fujitsu Lifebook A512. This bug causes dysfunctionality of battery-indicators in desktop environments like KDE, Gnome, Xfce and others.
