Rest assured it DOES NOT SAFELY REMOVE. I tried that and got to do a
re-install after when things started hozing up all over.
No, it is not really more than 4 users who love Compiz.
YOU ENABLED BY DEFAULT A PACKAGE WHICH DOES NOT WORK!!!!
Try, just try to enlarge the mouse. You will find it is only supported by the
Mozilla browser and for whatever reason that browser does not like compiz being
removed.
Skilled end users (the 4 developers who think the pile of doo=doo known as
Compiz don't smell) can either enable or disable it.
THE AARP COMMUNITY WHICH HAS IMMENSE TROUBLE SEEING THE DEFAULT MOUSE DOES NOT
KNOW HOW TO DISABLE OR UN-INSTALL COMPIZ OR EVEN WHAT COMPIZ IS SUPPOSED TO BE.
All they know is that the mouse is only visible in the Web browser so they
have a real PITA doing email.
The token half handful of people who think Compiz isn't purely wasted bits are
also developers or geeks that know how to enable/install it on their own. THEY
ARE NOT END USERS. YOU ABANDONED YOUR DUTY TO THE END USER COMMUNITY WHEN YOU
ENABLED BROKEN SOFTWARE BY DEFAULT.
When you push out an update which turns the flag off for Compiz, shiny new
older end users that take the default installation along with applying all
updates will have a usable system. The half a handful of geeks who thinks
Compiz serves a purpose will have to check a box they already know how to find
and check.
