https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=465036 Summary: openSuseUpdater: cifs-mount security patch to version 406 does not work. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ohei@snafu.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer Since ever I installed openSUSE 11.0 I get the following error message after I ran the openSUSE updater: KLocalePrivate::initEncoding: Defaulting to ISO 8859-1 encoding This had never been really a problem as the updates always were made and this message box came last to the update. However today two security updated were announced and while I could install one of those, the one for the cifs-mount does not install giving the exact same error message I always get *after* an successful update. The full message of the box is this: "kdesu(23052)/kdecorer (KLocale) KLocalePrivate::initEncoding: Defaulting to ISO 8859-1 encoding" If I click on 'OK' the message box disappears and the update icon become red again offering the same update for cifs-mount again. Since I always get this message, may be there is something else wrong in the background, but I don't know how to check for it. Fact is, the update does not install as it should.
