Please refer to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188533 At that time, I upgraded my scim version using the package from the following repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/hujq/openSUSE_11.1/ But since the time where I upgraded to openSUSE 11.2, that repository doesn't seem to offer the new scim version. Even now it doesn't have the openSUSE 11.1 version of the new scim. I agree that this bug is critical as it also caused me losses of data, many times.
