XEN doesn't perform any checks to see if the migration will succeed or not. For example, if you have a second system with the nfs share, where the disk is, mounted it will still migrate the VM and assume that everything went well. Comment: The only error messages that I have seen so far were connectivity issues and not list the VM to migrate.
