The kernel %post script checks whether mkinitrd should be called with:
if [ -f /etc/fstab -a ! -e /.buildenv -a -x /sbin/mkinitrd ]; then
...
else
echo "Please run mkinitrd as soon as your system is complete."
fi
For some reason we hit the else branch. The kernel-$flavor packages all have a
"Requires(post): mkinitrd" dependency so I trust that /sbin/mkinitrd is always
present. This would mean that /etc/fstab is missing --- but how can this be the
case during a package upgrade?
