Well, thank you for the feedback. If you can tell me how to process "hwinfo"
from within a udev - file, ok. Nevertheless: performing things with
/etc/init.d/boot.local
is an intended thing, otherwise the file would not be called "boot.local". In
contrast, fillding with udev is - say, kind of difficult.
I can only repeat my statement: why had things to be broken that used to work
for decades (flawlessly ...) - I do not mind using systemd, but I expect
systemd to provide simple capabilities and I cannot see a real good reason why
a symlink created by udev has advantages compared to a symlink created
"manually", the latter being the normal way a normal user would address such a
problem (IMHO)
