A possible workaround:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21574#c24
Set the shared memory size to 128MB in BIOS. Does this fix the issue?
That did the trick! It worked. I can confirm that direct rendering/hardware acceleration is enabled. My motherboard has AMIBIOS 1.00 (1.70 is apparently the latest version). The setting was set to Auto so I changed it to 128MB and it worked. It is still detected as 256MB according to dmesg. Will changing this setting to 128MB from Auto (256MB) affect my performance? I hope not, but if it will, I hope a real solution to this can be worked on so those of us effected aren't forced with a trade off of reasonable functioning for sacrificed performance. Thank you so much Stefan for your help & patience. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
