Created attachment 862381 [details] Default LDAP settings from clean install
These are the default settings where YaST for DHCP and the name server fail when an attempt is made to use ldap.
YaST logs are missing but I did a fresh installation and would say that unfortanely yast2-ldap is not well maintained (see https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1083328) As commented in the documentation you linked, in openSUSE Leap 15.4 the LDAP service is provided by the 389 Directory Server, replacing OpenLDAP but yast2-ldap has not been adapted and as it is already mentioned in (https://github.com/yast/yast-users/pull/366) it does things incorrectly. I would try to migrate from openLDAP to 389-ds manually and in case the integration will DHCP and DNS server is needed probably the best approach by now is doing it manually. BTW, will involve current yast2-ldap maintainers just in case they plan to improve the current situation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
