--- Comment #11 from dante bly 2009-01-27 09:21:35 MST ---
I tried putting:
splash nohz=off
into menu.lst but it didn't seem to make a difference. I installed suse 10.3
and everything worked fine. This is a dual boot computer with windows xp. I
decided to retry opensuse 11.1 final. Everything went fine during installation,
no hang ups. But when I reboot, there is sometimes one of two places where it
hangs. These are at:
usb usb4 :serial number
ext3 -fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data
I also saw a message that said:
clocksource tsc unstable(delta = 4398041294382 ns)
Since the booting hangups are unpredictable, I think this may be an issue with
the hardware so this bug can probably be closed. At this point it is a very
minor issue anyway.
