https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=374213 Summary: X Server working Strange Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: cybernerd94@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer I installed opensuse 11.0 and it went just fine. When I rebooted to finish up the installation that is where the problems started. For some reason it said: end_request:I/O error on device, dev fdo, sector 0 Buffer I/O error on device fdo, logical 0 It was stuck on that for about 4-5 minutes. Finally it pulled up the installer which for some reason was text based. I inputted everything and that went fine. It gave me a welcome screen and I pressed O.K. The screen had lines through it for about 3 seconds and launched a login screen. The login screen was with minimal graphics. It also loaded a log near the left hand side of the screen saying that the buffers were locked I typed in my username and it booted up in KDE 4. From there on it was fine.
