Maybe the MSI problem is not only in the driver, it may be also be in central
kernel parts or in your BIOS (try updating and maybe run the BIOS check from
the boot CD/DVD).
You can also try some of our daily kernel builds from time to time to
see if this issue is fixed in newer mainline version (2.6.24 versions will be
there soon):

I close it for now as work for me, since the msi=0 workaround fix it.
