--- Comment #1 from Johannes Meixner 2013-07-19 09:35:42 CEST ---
I am not the right assigneee.
I am not member of the YaST team.
I cannot debug YaST internals.
The YaST printer module contains YCP source code
that is interpreted and executed by core YaST.
A segfault (signal 11) in core YaST is not a bug in
the YCP source code of the YaST printer module.
Furthermore:
I did not change anything in the YCP code in yast2-printer
since Wed May 9 2012, see the yast2-printer RPM changelog, see
"osc cat openSUSE:Factory yast2-printer yast2-printer.changes"
I assume something else somewhere else changed recently
(probably somehow related to "library icui18n")
and that change leads to the segfault.
FeiXiang Zhang,
please assign bugs in core YaST appropriately
(for example have a look at bnc#811842).
Antons Svedkijs,
please attach YaST logs, see
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bugreport_YaST
It seems you reported two separated printer setup issues
"YaST -> Printer" and "KDE System settings -> Printer"
in one same bug.
Such bug reports cannot be handled well by us because
we cannot assign those bugs to two separated teams
(YaST team and KDE team), see
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Submitting_bug_reports
Because the segfault in YaST is the more severe issue
we keep this bug as an issue for YaST and ignore the
"KDE System settings -> Printer" here.
Regarding your "KDE System settings -> Printer" issue
in particular regarding "Many authentification windows at the same time"
have a look at bnc#827196.
If you issue is different, please file a new separated bug report.
I cannot do this for you because you need to be the one who filed
the issue so that it is you who gets requests for information
(I could not answer questions that are meant for you).
