Now I've I downloaded the network scanner driver for Linux 'lexmark_nscan' from here http://support.lexmark.com/index?docLocale=en_US&page=content&segType=recommendedSegmentLINUX_UNIX&id=DR20847&locale=nb&userlocale=EN_US and installed the rpm package according to the Lexmark Network Scan Driver User's Guide: http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&actp=PUBS&locale=en&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_BE&id=PU45403&productCode=LEXMARK_X342N The problem is that 'scanimage -L' doesn't find any scanner. Verified that the scan driver and device file are available in the sane directories, see the command dialog attached. Started 'yast2 scanner' which finds the 'lexmark_nscan' driver, but not the correct Lexmark X940e model is available on the list to be added. See the attached screenshots. Just a note: I'm running openSUSE 11.4 x86_64 with 32bit environment, to be able to install and run the 32bit lexmark_nscan driver. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.as describe above and in the first attachment 2. 3. Actual Results: Sane doesn't recognize the scanner network driver, YaST2 Scanner does find lexmark_nscan, but has not the correct Lexmark model X940e available on the list.
