https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=659031 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=659031#c0 Summary: wifi (ipw2100): networkmanagement frontends do not show access points Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Milestone 4 of 6 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: squan@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.5; Linux) KHTML/4.5.80 (like Gecko) SUSE My wifi HW is driven by ipw2100 and "iwlist eth1 scan" typically lists about 15 access points. At the same time the main overview widget of networkmanagement-plasmoid shows "Not connected" on the left (which is ok) but none of the APs on the right (except a single "<hidden network>" item). Hence WiFi connection with the plasmoid is not possible If I then use the SSID search feature of the plasmoids add connection dialog all APs are properly shown (as map or list)! With openSUSE-11.2 wifi with knetworkmanager was flawless with the same notebook and with 11.3 it was still possible with some kill switch toggling confusion due to https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14098 (which also affects my latitude notebook). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot into KDE 2. click the networkmanagement-plasmoid 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
