http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=627609 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=627609#c0 Summary: SuSEconfig.texlive is recreating fmt files every time it is invoked. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: auxsvr@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.4) KHTML/4.4.4 (like Gecko) SUSE It takes ~ 1 minute after every package installation/removal and is fairly annoying. This time period is spent in "Handle language setups", which rebuilds the fmt files, and the cause seems to be the wrong check in line 253: if test $omd5lang = 0 -o \ \( $md5lang != $omd5lang -o "$md5_nt_lang" = "yes" \) which should be: if test $omd5lang = 0 -o \ \( $md5lang != $omd5lang -o "$md5_nt_lang" != "yes" \) Doing a touch /etc/texmf/tex/generic/config/language.dat, then running Suseconfig twice verifies that this modification is correct. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run SuSEconfig.texlive Actual Results: It takes too long to finish, regardless of any changes in texlive configuration. Expected Results: It should return immediately, if texlive configuration hasn't been modified since last invocation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
