http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1116580 Bug ID: 1116580 Summary: pdfwrite device of gs loses symbols Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: ulrich.deiters@uni-koeln.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 790175 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=790175&action=edit ZIP archive containing a PostScript test program and the PDF files derived from it The attached PostScript file, when displayed with gs, gv, okular, shows a nice star symbol in the center. After conversion to PDF (using gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite or ps2pdf) the star is missing. The star is taken from the ZapfDingbats font, which is one of the PostScript standard fonts. It should not be necessary to embed it in the input file. In fact, the gs -sDEVICE=x11 process displays the result correctly without embedded fonts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
