ZIP archive containing a PostScript test program and the PDF files derived from
it
The attached PostScript file, when displayed with gs, gv, okular, shows a nice
star symbol in the center. After conversion to PDF (using gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite
or ps2pdf) the star is missing.
The star is taken from the ZapfDingbats font, which is one of the PostScript
standard fonts. It should not be necessary to embed it in the input file. In
fact, the gs -sDEVICE=x11 process displays the result correctly without
embedded fonts.
