https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=395748 Summary: knetworkmanager does not detect any wifi acess points Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mrcin.vuk@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Networkmanager application for KDE does not detect any wireles networks and consequently does not connect to any. I can detect the networks with iwlist and can connect to them with traditional method (ifup/ifdown). After restarting the system the knetworkmanager didn't even start. And after starting manually only one icon apears (globe) in the dock. At the begining there were also icons for wired and wireless network. Workaround is to use the traditional method instead of networkmanager. The system is Dell D630 laptop with intel 3945ABG wifi chip (0c:00.0 pci Id). The desktop is KDE 3.5 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
