Hello, I have the same issue, and I also have an AMD GPU. I wasn't able to try the fix which is suggested here, because zypper doesn't want to install the package. If I add the repository and then do `zypper install x11-org-server`, zypper doesn't install anything. If I download the rpm directly, then zypper tells me the version I have installed is higher. ... Could you provide instructions on how to update to the correct version?
Dear Johannes you can uninstall the older packages and install the newer one manually. This is what I did. Uninstall with zypper (note all the packages which will be uninstalled automatically), restart or log out and change to another tty (e.g. F3 for tty3). Now you should have a terminal only. Install the newer one (e.g. the downloaded) and the previously automatically uninstalled. Restart or log out and go back to tty2/7. Not the best way to do, but it works. I hope soon the fix will be in the main repository as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
