Several parts of the system are affected including flash media, video playback, scrolling, and overall choppiness. Specifically in mplayer XV shows only a black screen and X11 cannot be used at fullscreen. I am using gnome but the problem also exists in KDE. I believe the problem has to do with the intel graphics driver and is similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1774...
