http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=934060 Bug ID: 934060 Summary: postfix: don't use /etc/hostname Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 201505* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: varkoly@suse.com Reporter: lnussel@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: mt@suse.com Blocks: 923990 Found By: --- Blocker: --- +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #923990 +++ /usr/sbin/config.postfix does some wild guessing if $POSTFIX_MYHOSTNAME is unset. Especially /etc/hostname will not contain anything useful anymore. The fallback to linux.local also looks fishy. IMO config.postfix should just not set anything if $POSTFIX_MYHOSTNAME is not set. Postfix will use `hostname`.localdomain itself then (which should be changed to `hostname`.localhost but that's another story). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
