Somewhere (I believe it was in "yast2 lan" but I can't find it anymore), you can specify the module to load and there, I could choose between "sk98lin" and "skge", so Yast already knows that there are two possible drivers for this chip. Maybe you need to check the chip revision (14) to decide which driver to use? The install log just contain one place where the drivers are mentioned: linux(3432) [YCP] Storage.ycp:5269 GetRootInitrdModules lmod..."sk98lin":$["size":167648, "used":"0"], "sky2":$["size":62344, "used":"0"], Later, I fixed the problem. In this log, the drivers are mentioned several times. All places look like this: network/complex.ycp:66 Hardware=[$["active":true, "bus":"pci", "busid":"0000:02:00.0", "drivers":[$["active":true, "modprobe":true, "modules":[["sky2", ""]]]], "link":true, "mac":"00:18:f3:46:79:ab", "module":"sky2", "name":"ASUSTeK Marvell 88E8052 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Asus)", "num":0, "options":"", "requires":[], "type":"eth", "unique":"JNkJ.Myu8c0mh9g5", "wl_auth_modes":nil, "wl_bitrates":nil, "wl_channels":nil, "wl_enc_modes":nil], $["active":false, "bus":"pci", "busid":"0000:01:05.0", "drivers":[$["active":false, "modprobe":true, "modules":[["sk98lin", ""]]], $["active":true, "modprobe":true, "modules":[["skge", ""]]]], "link":true, "mac":"00:18:f3:46:79:ac", "module":"sk98lin", "name":"ASUSTeK Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Asus)", "num":1, "options":"", "requires":[], "type":"eth", "unique":"rBUF.FjMv6GbsXF7", "wl_auth_modes":nil, "wl_bitrates":nil, "wl_channels":nil, "wl_enc_modes":nil]] -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
