After an update to Tumbleweed 20220128, sound no longer works through the built-in analog device on my motherboard. Sound does not through my USB headphones however. A review of the systemd log shows the following message:
"The decibel volume range for element 'Speaker' (-2837 dB- -6 dB) has negative maximum. Disabling the decibel range"
It's unlikely the cause. Can you rollback? If not, please try to check which packages have been actually updated. If it's about the kernel regression, you should be able to boot with the previous kernel and see whether it works or not. And, if the previous kernel doesn't work, it's likely a breakage in other layer, e.g. the sound service like PulseAudio or pipewire. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
