https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=306367#c2 Summary: xquery does not recognize different xinerama displays Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@lycos.at QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: Customer The description of xquery supposes this program to be useful for listing all available screens and their respective resolution no matter whether they are used in xinerama or multidisplay(:0.1,:0.2,...) mode. xquery --help [ -S | --currentscr ] get screen number the mouse is currently over [ -s | --screen ] query number of available screens [ -r | --resolution ] query current used resolutions for all screens Configuration: screen#2: 1280x800+0+0 (as numbered by kdesktop-customization) screen#1: 1600x1200+1280+0 (i.e. with=1600, height=1200, right of screen #2) Actual results on screen #1:
xquery -S 0 xquery -s 1 xquery -r 0 1600x1200
Actual results on screen #2:
xquery -S xquery -s 1 xquery -r 0 1600x1200
Expected results:
xquery -S 1/2 respecitvely xquery -s 2 xquery -r 1 1600x1200+1280+0 2 1280x800+0+0
Appropriate functions are defined by the x11 library interface, although most x-programs do not seem to be aware of them (xrandr, xquery). XQuery could also take some function to return the actual position of the mouse pointer, because this does not seem to be covered by other x11 command line utilities yet (xset, xrandr, xprop, xwininfo, xev). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
