http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1033899 Bug ID: 1033899 Summary: No V-SYNC (Desktop Tearing) with Intel Sandy Bridge using default fbdev. (GNOME Wayland & Xorg) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver Assignee: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: hdavolt@gmail.com QA Contact: sndirsch@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- GNOME 3.24 Tearing (no VSYNC) is noticeable on Sandy Bridge (HD 3000), especially when moving/resizing windows. This happens in both Wayland and X Sessions. Installing XF86-video-intel (and dependencies) resolves the problem. Since intel driver is deprecated(?), using the fbdev driver should produced desirable results. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
