GNOME 3.24 Tearing (no VSYNC) is noticeable on Sandy Bridge (HD 3000), especially when moving/resizing windows. This happens in both Wayland and X Sessions. Installing XF86-video-intel (and dependencies) resolves the problem. Since intel driver is deprecated(?), using the fbdev driver should produced desirable results.
