Have never had the occasion to go there before because it always "just worked" after I set up my printer via YaST or hp-setup. It is all powerfull. O.K. 1. deleted out the 1 "orphan" printer 2. in YaST the 1 printer left was already configured for "hplip backend" 3. hplip now has the correct run levels established (not so post install) 4. the 6540 is showing up globally as default (and I have not even set it as default yet) 5. configured the printer options via CUPS and printed a test page: PERFECT 6. still NO HP-Toolbox - says "No device found or unsupported device" and then after closing, a dialog msg box comes up saying that "HP devices using the toolbox require special setup" - something to that effect (my wording is not exact). So, all that is left is the HP-Toolbox (I think). I will be tinkering around until I hear back from you. Everything else looks real good so far! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
